Sarah Washburn
Sarah Washburn, violinist, has a diverse musical heritage. Equally at home at a contra-dance or the concert hall, Ms. Washburn is an active performer across the east coast, playing with the Waterbury and Wallingford Symphonies, the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, the Irish band Celtic Knots and the West End String Quartet. Ms. Washburn has performed at LyricaFest, Domaine Forget, and in master classes with Isaac Stern, Pamela Frank, Andrew Dawes and Claude Richard. Ms. Washburn earned a B.Mus with honors from Boston University and an M.Mus from the University of Hartford. While at The Hartt School, she participated in the 20/20 Honors Chamber Music Program and was the concertmaster for The Hartt Symphony and Opera Orchestras. Ms. Washburn has studied with Katie Lansdale, Bayla Keyes, Graybert Beacham and Nancy Beacham, and has been coached by members of the Miami and Muir String Quartets, Triple Helix Piano Trio and the Lion's Gate Trio.
